Photoperiod- The amount of continuous hours of light a plant receives. *However, the hours of continuous darkness is what regulates the plant (and not the hours of light) A cannabis plant that receives 0-6 hours of darkness (18-24hr of light) will maintain the vegetative growth phase. When cannabis received an even 12hour continues darkness and 12hours of light it will begin to induce flowering. Green light provides the grower light to see and take care of plants if necessary, but this is “not seen” by the plants and helps maintain continual hours of darkness.
