They met as teenagers living nearby and quickly became inseparable, sharing a deep bond over their love for trucks. Danielle describes Dane as trustworthy, a great husband, an amazing father, and a passionate businessman. From a young age, he showed an affinity for trucks, drawing them as a boy and dreaming of being part of the industry. His uncle Erwin inspired this passion by allowing Dane to accompany him on truck runs when Dane was old enough. At 21, Dane began his journey with a cement tanker that he had purchased. Over the years, as the company evolved and added various freight services, he quickly expanded his fleet. Over time, he collected several iconic Kenworth trucks showcasing his deep love for trucks and the industry. With the continued growth of his business, Dane was excited about the direction his company was heading. In 2019, he invested in a T900 Kenworth. Tragically, after spending Father's Day with his family that year, it would be the last time they would see him. Dane's passing left a tremendous void not only within his family but also among his friends and colleagues in the transport industry. Fortunately, the business continued thanks to the unwavering dedication of his best mate, Blake Lawrence. He stepped in to help run the company alongside his brother, Kell, and their father, John. Their collective support has meant the world to the family during this challenging time. Blake reflects on what Dane meant to those close to him. He remembers him as a good friend and a standout figure in the industry, fostering strong family bonds among their wives and children.
