#BlackLivesMatter Fight racism, save lives, do the reading. Accordion Revolution: A People's History of the Accordion from the Industrial Revolution to Rock and Roll by Bruce Triggs Chapter 13 African Americans Played Accordion Before they Played the Blues pg 251 270 The Corona-Virus Read-Aloud ©2020 The book is available in print and ebook formats at: AccordionRevolution.com Bruce here, reading aloud from my book Accordion Revolution while staying mostly in quarantine and wishing everybody would wear masks ‘cause they make it so more people don’t die. 100,000 in the States is a horrific crime. Do what you can. #Masks4All My daughter embroidered my cat-mask for my 52nd birthday. It was a good day. Everybody should get one or more. I've been wanting to do an audio book eventually, so why not entertain a few folks while we're under the threat of eminent death in a global freakin' pandemic? I have asthma so it's no joke. Such a weird thing to say, but if watching me read about accordions keeps you home for a few minutes, maybe somebody gets to live. Consider this reading a first draft, with lots of mistakes, especially when I start mispronouncing names and places. If you have corrections or suggestions, let me know. I plan to hire native speakers to coach me on the names for a polished version. I also co-host the weekly Accordion Noir Radio show on CFRO Co-op Radio, 100.5 FM in Vancouver, BC, CANADA Accordion Noir is available online and as a podcast at AccordionUprising.org Love and respect, @AccordionBruce
