Grimentz Switzerland 4K Valais Most Beautiful Village Val d'Anniviers

Grimentz is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland and is located in the Val d'Anniviers in the canton of Valais at an altitude of 1564m. A walk through the village reveals all the charm of this place with its sun-baked historic wooden houses decorated with beautiful geranium flowers. Grimentz is popular with hikers and mountain bikers in summer with its many bike and hiking trails. In winter, skiers can ski down the snowy slopes above the village or in the large ski area of Zinal. In the Val d'Anniviers, traditional cow fights are held with Eringer cows. The Eringer cows are a traditional Valais cow breed with a pronounced sense of hierarchy, black coat and muscular body. During the alpine procession in spring, the Eringer cows, following their natural instinct, make up the hierarchy in the herd.
