Proud Boy Punches Fem in Oregon City!

On Friday, June 18, members of the far-right group, The Proud Boys, clashed with the political anti-fascist group, Antifa, at the Clackamas Park in Oregon City. Originally organized as a flag waving event by the Proud Boys, several members of Antifa organized a counter-protest on social media titled, 'Fuck Proud Boys, Fuck Nazis, Fuck Your Flag.' The two groups confronted each other near the parking lot with harmless taunts. Things only turned violent after one antifascist protester attempted to burn an American flag, which was quickly followed up with bear mace extinguished heavily from both parties. Ironically not too long after, the Proud Boys grabbed Antifa's large red anarchy flag from the picnic tables and they all mutually agreed that they should burn it in retaliation as well. After one Proud Boy women, pictured in the video in the flowered dress, was targeted and maced by a counter female protester, a male Proud Boy with full body armor and a makeshift shield runs up and violently punches her in the face. The fem, a gonzo journalist in Portland, can be seen collapsing to the ground in the video and later on tells her comrades that she had briefly lost consciousness. Chaos ensues for the rest of the event with more mace flying back and forth, firecrackers, and smoke bombs. The large police presence that was stationed all over the vicinity quickly moved in not long after to usher everyone to leave the park, but other than that, they did not interfere with the event. The Proud Boy who attacked the female was later identified as Gordon Cronk Jr. on social media.
