Seen here are the 2017 Proterra Catalyst E2/BE40 #0016 On The B32 Bus Route in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Long Island City, Queens. This bus runs like an electric Toyota Prius and has a blast-off like propulsion when taking off. We will see both the interior and exterior of this bus as well as a on-board ride trip via the Pulaski Bridge. Please enjoy. After the announcement from Governor's Cuomo's 2018 State Of The State address, the MTA rolled out new electric-charged buses this week (10 are available; 2-3 units are in revenue service). These newbies will be in testing for 3 years. If successful, 50 more of these buses will be ordered, which will make the order of 60 buses. #0011-0015 are New Flyer XE40s, which are currently at the Michael J. Quill depot in Manhattan operating on the M42 and M50 routes. #0016-0021 are Proterra Catalyst BE40s, which are at the Grand Avenue depot in Brooklyn, operating on the B32 and B39 routes.The XE40s will stay at MJQ and BE40s at Grand Avenue for the first 18 months of the 3-year lease.
