The heavens opened and I trembled where I stood, A word like living fire—holy, heavy, good. By the river where the faithful long had prayed, The Spirit called my name and showed the path He’d laid. I saw who I was meant to be made new, And felt the cost of what the Lord would have me do. My voice grew still, my heart bowed low, A living witness taught to listen before I spoke. The Spirit lifted me beyond my fear, He said, “Look close—what happens here When hearts grow cold and hands depart From what is holy, pure, and set apart?” The wheels of heaven turn near holy ground, When truth grows dim and quieter loves are crowned. Do you feel the glory pause, restrained? A presence waiting, never forced, never chained. He does not leave in wrath or flame— He waits for hearts to call His name. I saw the marks of those who chose His way, Who mourned for wrong and sought to stay. The scroll I ate was sweet to know, Yet heavy with the truth I’d have to show. They asked, “Why speak of change and cost?” I said, “Because no covenant stands once love is lost.” They said, “Surely peace will always be,” But peace is born of humility. Holiness begins where idols part, And God still waits for willing hearts. The wheels of heaven turn even now, Among the humbled, the seeking, the bowed. Can you feel Him gently stand, Still reaching out with open hands? He will not dwell where hearts are stone, But waits to make His people one. I saw a valley dry and wide, Where hope itself had seemed to die. He asked me, “Can these live again?” I said, “O Lord, it’s in Your hand.” Then breath returned and bones arose, A gathered people, healed and whole— Two made one within His plan, One covenant in His hand. The wheels of heaven turn in light, For temples rise first deep inside. He builds His house where hearts are clean, Where love restores what once had been. And every soul who makes Him room Finds exile turned to holy home. Not just a place… but a people renewed. The waters rise where covenants start. They heal the land. They heal the heart. The Lord is there. And He is willing to stay.
