The kids swam with Humpback Whales

A day we will never forget. Swimming with whales has been on our family bucket list since we set off from Edinburgh and we knew we would be hitting Mo'orea at the right time of year. A planned trip with Moore Reo Tours started from Moore Marina. We set of with Tony and his family for an action packed day on the Ocean. The excursion was planned for 4 hours and 3 hours in we had seen whales from a distance but nothing up close and no chance of us getting in the water to swim with them. Tony announced that he no longer thought it would happen and he planned to take us to an area where we could swim with rays and black tip sharks after having some lunch. Disappointment set in and we were genuinely gutted! As we headed for some lunch Tony took a call. A friend of his who had a separate whale watching company was in the area and he was observing. a mother and calf humpback whale! We headed straight there. With 15 minutes we were in the water and had the most incredible experience as a family. Thank you to Tony and his family for looking after us so well!
