North West Rod Race | Day 1 | Brookside Fisheries | catfish Well the first day of my north west rod race is here! I don't think I could have timed the race any worse with the autumn weather coming in hard … with heavy rain and a huge 10c temperature drop. It's going to be a tough one no doubt. This first day we will be targeting some of the harder species on the list. What is a rod race ? Created by the great Matt Hayes and Mick Brown… it’s a challenge to try catch as many species as you possibly can in a week. This is my first attempt with less than ideal conditions ! But im hoping it will be something different and an exciting and entertaining watch. I will be doing all kinds of fishing from trotting to lures in my attempt to catch em’ all. Wish me luck!
