The first in a series of DJ mixtapes by veteran DJ Solomon Stewart. This 2-hour mix was spontaneously recorded live in one shot on New Year's Day 2026. There is no post-production editing other than maximizing volume levels for internet play. Many imperfections can be found throughout the mix which is what makes it authentic... because who wants to listen to a generic playlist curated and stitched together by a computer? The mix starts out mellow and a little eccentric with some downtempo house but wastes no time increasing the bpm into a more groovy "hous-ier" vibe before slowly and smoothly evolving through some "techy" house into some down & dirty techno stompers, some old, some new. Then, like dessert at the end of a 7-course-meal, the vibe evolves into the lush sweetness of some progressive house to close out the journey. A club DJ's job is to take partygoers on a journey. This mixtape isn't for techno elitists, deep house purists or trance-tards. This is for partiers who have an appreciation for club music and for being taken on a musical mood journey.
