Here's a link to the same (dirt cheap) Performance Tool cam bearing install set I used in this video on Summit Racing: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wm... This is the slightly rusty 318 LA small block core I removed from a 1978 Dodge W100 Power Wagon parts truck a few weeks ago. I am overhauling this engine at home to install in my 1979 Dodge W200, with some mild hop-up parts to put some extra pep in its step. On the last episode, I tore the engine down, found some questionable things, resurfaced the cylinder bores with a stone hone, and threw my drill for some reason. Today, we're continuing with the block prep, cleaning the oiling system and the rest of the block as thoroughly as possible, and replacing the absolutely destroyed cam bearings that sent the donor truck to the parts pile in the first place. The bearing replacement procedure I show here absolutely applies to countless other engine families - but as always on this channel, we're playing with a Chrysler engine. Let's dig in.
