Shakedown run (much needed), Familiar places on the Georgia Traverse. Preparing for a 7 day trip to Texas just 2 weeks later, i needed to do a check of my Overlanding gear. I found several issues to work out before my big adventure, this is why i needed a Shakedown run This Off-Road adventure focuses primarily on the Cohutta Wilderness and Coopers Creek Day 1 holly creek and old ccc camp road into the Cohutta wilderness. Camp at one of my favorite locations looking west, build a campfire, eat dinner, and watch the sun go down Day 2 Sunrise in the Cohutta, then head to Coopers creek. Leaving Coopers creek we’ll follow the Georgia Traverse into Helen.
