Flora will discuss the individual's life and decisions against the backdrop of China's rapidly changing political, economic and social environment from 1980s to current days. She will reflect on both physical migration and migration between languages. 關於講者｜About the Speaker Born and raised in Shanghai, Flora Qian left home in her early twenties and has spent most of her time in Hong Kong. Her writing has appeared in the New England Review, Asia Literary Review, Eastlit and a few anthologies.
