We’re back at Haysler Conservation Area for Visit #2 of 3… and the wildlife completely stole the show this time! 🦆🐍🦢 In this peaceful little Missouri spot we accidentally witnessed: - The cutest duck family you’ve ever seen crossing the gravel road… twice (and holding up “traffic” like they owned the place) - A very determined snake? swimming straight toward us (nope nope nope) - An elegant Great Egret putting on an absolute AIR SHOW with perfect reflections and dramatic hunting fails - Mystery bird calls we still can’t identify (comment if you know what it is!) - Baby catfish, blooming wild roses, lily-pad heaven, turtles, egrets, and so much more It went from serene and beautiful to heart-racing to pure joy in the span of one afternoon. Plus a quick reflection at the end about how places like this remind me to slow down and reflect God’s beauty in everyday life.
