Interview with Massimo Pupillo & Luca

In a couple of weeks Luca Mai and Massimo Pupillo, the founding members the amazing Italian freethinkers Zu, will release their next record, a live recording of one of their shows with Tatsuya Yoshida, the drummer of Japanese Noise-Hardcore pioneers Ruins. The record is called "Jazzisdead" because it was recorded at the Italian festival of the same name. The show was exhilarating as every Zu show basically is, all of their 2000+ gigs have been, but it also posed some challenges for all participants as they chose tracks from each band and then performed them together. The record will be released by Subsound Records and is a great way to get into contact with two amazing acts, if one doesn't know them - and it gave us also a great opportunity to sit down with Luca and Massimo to talk about the record, the process, their approach to "Jazz" and whether it is dead or not.
