I finally got around to 're-digitizing' this episode. I haven't really looked at this reel prior to this recording with two exceptions, mainly because of how raggedy and beaten up this print is. I also had a very hard time trying to deliver the visual recording for the "digitization" since it took a while to actually get my camera in sync with the projector's frame rate (a problem I've been going through for a few days now -_-). The projector also started to slow down progressively, causing some flickering to occur, becoming more apparent as the reel progressed. Because I never really watched this reel a lot, I really paid attention to it when I made the digitization, and that's when I noticed how...um... 'peculiar' this show is. It's well-intentioned, after all, it is tackling racial equality, but there were some parts that rubbed me the wrong way. Top it off with some corny acting (as if I was expecting some Emmy-winning performances from some random Rankin/Bass show barely anyone remembers), it made for a very... 'interesting' watch. I had a friend over when I made the visual recording of the 'digitization'. He wasn't watching the reel with me but he did come out every so often to do some things. He heard a lot of the lines here out of context, and the faces he made wondering what the hell I was indulging in was truly priceless! By the way, apologies for the audio being out of sync at a few points. Some portions of audio on the reel were printed like that :/
