This is a how-to video on how I made a leash (tether) for my GoPro cameras which protects both the camera and the mount. If the mount breaks, the GoPro is still held, and the paracord can loop onto any part of your GoPro mount whether it's a suction cup mount, a quick clamp mount, or just about any mount you use with your GoPro. All you need is some paracord and smaller diameter nylon string. (I used what GoPro gave me with my Floaty backdoor.) Use this design at your own risk. If you keep the knots tied tight, it should work great, but just keep in mind you're trusting your camera to your own handiwork. I've done several drop tests and it holds up great. So far, I have yet to "need" a tether, but having it there gives me that piece of mind. Thanks to Stormdrane for posting a video on how to tie the Multiple Overhand Sliding Knot and many thanks to Micbergsma for all the awesome work you do with your GoPro tips!
