A glitch in environmental conservation | Ben DAVIS | TEDxRUPP

This talk discusses the seriousness of the current environmental situation with special emphasis on the state of wildlife, in Cambodia and the broader region. Talking from 26 years of personal experience, environmental activist, Ben Davis, discusses various things that can be done by normal, concerned individuals to mitigate degradation and at least save pockets of forest and wildlife. A primary concern is awareness-raising at all levels, for, how can urban people be concerned about something that they are not even aware exists? Rural people, on the other hand, need to know that they may very well be destroying the last remanets of endemic biodiversity. The talk finishes with ideas of how everyone can get involved and play an important part in ensuring that Cambodia’s splendid natural wonders will be around for future generations to enjoy.
