HRS 2025 - First-in-human three-month results from a contact force-sensing catheter integrated with 3D mapping to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) show potential for high acute effectiveness and a promising safety profile. Dr Mattias Duytschaever (St Jan Hospital, Bruges, BE) joins us to discuss the three-month findings from the first-in-human Omny-IRE study (NCT05971693; Biosense Webster, Inc.) assessing the safety, efficacy and PVI durability of the OMNYPULSE 3D mapping, contact force-sensing, large-tip focal catheter for pulsed field ablation of PAF. Interview Questions: 1. What is the importance behind the Omny-IRE study? 2. Could you tell us about the unique features of the OMNYPULSE catheter integrated with 3D mapping? 3. What was the study design and patient population? 4. What were the key findings? 5. How should these findings impact clinical practice? 6. What further research is needed in this area? Recorded remotely from Bruges, 2025. Editors: Jordan Rance, Yazmin Sadik Videographers: David Ben-Harosh Support: This is an independent interview produced by Radcliffe Cardiology.
