Violence eruptered in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in the early hours of 23 Febuary, as tensions between ABVP and Left student organizations boiled over into a full-blown clash. Following a protest by Left-affiliated groups that escalated into chaos, several students were left injured, with both sides trading serious allegations of assault and intimidation. Amidst the turmoil, a video of a student named Prateek went viral on social media. In the clip, a visibly distressed Prateek claims that Left activists targeted him and attacked him using a fire extinguisher, causing potential respiratory distress and physical harm.
