Larry Warren is a renown Barbadian architect whose work has shaped Barbados, including the Hemingway House, the Sandy Lane Estate and the amazing restoration of St. Nicholas Abbey. If you go to Barbados, you must ride the Saint Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway! OVERVIEW The size and scope of the property must be seen in person to truly experience. It features four residential levels with 5 five bedrooms and six bathrooms each, with their own plunge pool and terrace, private elevators, and staff quarters. Below the home there is more staff quarters and underground parking for 18 vehicles. There is an indoor/outdoor resident's lounge on the ground floor, as well as a gym, spa, coffee bar, spirits bar, security area, club room, wine cellar, massage room, TV lounge and catering kitchen. LOCATION Emerald Chateau is located on the waterfront in Speightstown on Barbados's coveted West Coast. There are 35 flights per day into Bridgetown, including nonstop flights to London, Manchester, Cologne, Frankfurt, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Toronto, Montreal, Atlanta, Charlotte, Panama, and Miami. BARBADOS We had a great time in Barbados, and not just enjoying the beaches. There really was so much to do, and our to-do list has only grown. It has some of the best surfing in the Caribbean, excellent shopping, delicious restaurants, and little delights like the train at Saint Nicholas Abbey and the Animal Flower Cave. In addition, Barbados is the original birthplace of rum, so there are many rum tastings, since everyone seems to have their own opinion on the best distillery. Unlike some of the other islands I've been to, the roads are in pretty good shape, and there is decent public transportation, so there's less to worry about when it comes to getting around.
