I figured I would start off 2024 by taking an up close (zoomed in from the ground) look at a single phase oil recloser using my "new" camera. I'll go over the basics of what these do, the components of them, and how they work. The recloser in this video is a 70A type "V4H" (Type "4H" with vacuum interrupter) located on an EnergyUnited pole in Huntersville, NC.
