Let's see if I get bonked for saying a certain word, literally once in this video. Joking aside, it is often the case where a ship is famous in her own lifetime, but forgotten in later years. USS Hartford is most certainly a case of this. Admiral Farragut, the Battle of Mobile Bay, a certain phrase that Youtube would probably bonk me for. All of those are well remembered. But how many people know the name of the ship that Farragut shouted those words from? How many people know her story, beyond that one moment? This is why I chose to cover USS Hartford.
