Hi Everyone! 🌹💫 I’ve been teaching Dot Placement in class recently, and I’ve also had several comments from some of you who feel like you’re almost there… but not quite yet. I completely understand. Placing dots can definitely be frustrating!😵‍💫 Even after all these years, it still takes me time to gather the right amount of glass and land it exactly where I want it. Dot control is one of those foundational skills that looks simple — but it really isn’t. It takes patience, practice, and a lot of tiny adjustments.✨ When it comes to troubleshooting, I’ve found that most issues come down to where your glass is positioned in the flame. That placement controls how much glass you gather on the end of your rod — and that makes all the difference in dot size and consistency. Today’s demo is really more of a dot practice piece. The size doesn’t matter. The placement doesn’t matter. What matters is repetition. We’ll build up layer after layer, practicing control as we go. 😍 The finished piece reminds me of a Willy Wonka Everlasting Gobstopper — and you know how influential candy is for me! 😂🍭 So if you’re ready to level up your dot size and placement, I hope this demo helps you tweak your technique and gain more confidence at the torch….and have fun doing it! 🤗💫 Thanks so much for joining me!
