The dance skills of these girls are very amazing, most moves everyone did right. There were tiny errors here and there but overall it’s quite clean and the choreo is great. I used this instead of dance practice bc the space is bigger and the lighting is better. Remember, this is not a competition, rank, or even really an analysis but I’m gonna list the time I spent focused on each member and my general thoughts on why they ended up where they were below. Truly, everyone is one move or less away from the person ahead of them except Yves so the rank is pretty trivial. Yves = 43s Choerry = 25s Gowon = 21s Heejin = 18s Olivia Hye = 17s Hyunjin = 16s Kim Lip = 12s Chuu = 10s Yeojin = 8s Jinsoul = 7s Vivi = 5s Yves She really gets into a character for this dance. Sometimes it pulls her off the rails but mostly it makes her look cooler. I like when she’s robotically perfect yet not stiff or heavy seeming. Her shoes also seem to stunt her from getting all the nice footwork moments unfortunately. She gets more into the groove as the song goes on and we can see in the end she dominates. Choerry She really goes for it and hits some nice moves. She has good awareness of her arm and leg placement, often striking some of the best poses. However, in the fast sequences she can be a bit messy. Gowon Very good at her angles. Straight arms and legs, adding little nods and grooves when able, and particularly great with footwork. It may be a tad too perfect for this style though, which sometimes needs that extra power and sass. Her energy is more graceful which works with some moves and not others. Heejin She’s a performer through and through. This makes her very eye catching and she does do the moves correctly but sometimes she rushes or loses some accuracy with her vigor. Olivia Hye Great footwork and overall stance. She knows what to do to make every move look better. I think a little more sass and energy would really push her to the top. Hyunjin She gets everything correct on paper, making the sharp moves quite clean from her. However, this dance needs more of that extra flair at times. There are many chances to add extra bits into the extra beats in the music that Hyunjin doesn’t fully take. However, she has a great flow in her body creating strong moves, great body rolls, and good level changes. She really pulls herself into each move which is nice. I would say she’s on and off throughout the dance, suddenly being noticeably among the best and then fading to the back again. Kim Lip Very accurate and technically capable but she’s a hit heavy on her feet, missing the really flowy or bouncy moves. This ends up making her a bit robotic at times, missing those moments to add extra flair. It could just be an off day or maybe her strong style is hit or miss with the choreo. Her ups and downs are similar to Olivia's. I think KL is a better dancer overall but OH does better in this video. Chuu Her timing is probably her biggest issue. Her dancing is quite good overall but she misses quick details and often starts moves a bit late which causes the rest of the sequence to look early since she’s catching up with herself. She’s mostly just doing the basics of this dance, which are pretty hard in themselves, but not hitting those details precisely enough. Yeojin Okay I did NOT expect to be so impressed with Yeojin’s dancing. But she really has a great sense of timing and is pretty good at her overall body control and flow. She’s catching little details that most others do not. One thing is that she sometimes catches too much and moves when she’s not supposed to, probably trying to fill a count but looking a bit odd. She only got like 8 seconds but she was a contender throughout the number, showing how close the “bottom” and “top” of this list are anyways. Jinsoul She gets a lot of “almost” moments because she really sells that charisma and grace, well extending her limbs or popping a knee or chest...however she lacks that technicality that would push her over the edge and it would ultimately go to someone else. Vivi My girl Vivi really got snubbed in this choreo. I think she misses those chances to really show off with her moves and use her whole body in them. I know they sort of use her like a filler piece in this dance which sucks so maybe she’s just dancing that way since she isn’t given many spots to stand out? Who knows? Either way she does have good turns and is smarter than most about her arm placement. She often cuts moves a touch short.
