There’s a rich maritime history to be found in Essex, Connecticut. In this season 6 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 604), Richard explores the quaint, coastal town and gets to know its inhabitants. He meets Steven Cryan who curates his own traditional train show replicating historical Essex. Then, per Stevens recommendation, he heads to the Griswold Inn, operating consistently since 1776. The Inn has an expansive collection of maritime art and historical artifacts, so much so that it feels like a museum.
