Traveling Normandy, France with Kids | Honfleur, Omaha Beach, & Courtomer —--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Honfleur, and Normandy as a whole, offers a great contrast to the other parts of France that we have visited so far: Cote D’Azur and Paris. On our first full day in Normandy, we explored our base town of Honfleur. Our second full day in Normandy was a road trip day! We headed to Courtomer, France, a small village of less than 800 total inhabitants. On our 3rd full day in Normandy, we left Courtomer pretty early because today was the day we were going to see the D-Day beaches! Specifically, we visited Omaha Beach & the Omaha Beach Museum. On our last full day in France, we took it slow on Honfleur, visiting a local rock shop, riding the merry-go-round, and visiting La Plage one last time. To be honest with you, Normandy wasn’t even on my radar until our friends invited us to join them on a trip here; I am so glad we went! There were charming towns, wonderful learning opportunities, and deep cultural experiences to be had all around.
