Bedtime Story is a track prince wrote & produced for Sheila E.'s second album "Romance 1600". It is rumored to be written about Devin DeVasquez as during that time they had a brief romance with the popstar. During the Purple Rain Tour, Prince rehearsed the track several times, but ended up not playing the track during any of the shows. Through Labyflan's Production and new AI technology, we were able to isolate out Prince's vocal and create entirely new production underneath, turning the two rehearsals into a finished song. This mix takes the vocals from two rehearsals taken from the "Uniondale" and "Purple rush 4" bootlegs, both being recorded between late January - early Feburary of 1985. The vocals were isolated and enhanced with the use of AI, with the Uniondale vocals being used for the lead with the Purple Rush vocals being used for the background vocals. I want to thank Labyflan for his time & help in the Production over the past few months, and helping take the idea stuck in my head from a simple proof of concept into an entirely fleshed-out track.
