Five good reasons why - We're tired of Call of Duty

Activision struck a goldmine with Modern Warfare and has milked the Call of Duty franchise for six years straight. However with Ghosts having poorer sales than Black Ops 2 it seems that the money train is finally slowing down. Here are five good reasons why we are tired of Call of Duty in its current form. Boring set-pieces Call of Duty has become the game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie. You move from set piece to set piece and watch stuff blow up in your face . The single player campaign needs to tone things down so we actually care about the things that are happening on screen. 4. Generic story Call Of Duty is not for people who are after a storyline but why is it that over seven games we only get one moving moment? This scene between Soap and Price is great but that was two years ago and we've had nothing but junk since. 3. Old engine Call of Duty desperately needs a new engine. Ghosts has a few nice new effects but the basic textures and animation haven't improved since Modern Warfare. How can a series that generates this much money look worse than its rivals? 2. Dated gameplay The gameplay of Call of Duty feels dated. Holding the left trigger to aim and using the right trigger to shoot at a never ending flow of enemies has become boring. We deserve something a bit more interesting especially on powerful new consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. 1. Copy + Paste = Nothing changes They say never change a winning team but that doesn't mean fans should be subjected to the same game year after year.
