Did you know that HyperRogue can be played as a First Person Shooter? While the standard roguelike mode plays the best (because roguelikes are the best games!), you can change enable the real-time non-grid-based "shmup" mode, and the First-Person Perspective mode together. See how the perspective changes -- movement feels more like zooming than in Euclidean space. Climbing a few meters (as in the Brown Island scene) completely changes the perspective!
