GM's VPM tells ALL about C8 Corvette's PERFORMANCE at the Nurburgring! Hello everyone and welcome back to Brink of Speed! This is a very special video in my opinion because I was able to get an interview with the Vehicle Performance Manager of GM, Alex MacDonald! He was very gracious and mostly answered all my questions! The first question that I had for him was..... Question 1: Is GM planning on going for and posting a Nurburgring time with this new C8 anytime soon? Answer 1: He said that his team is just responsible for making the car get great times, not for posting them. Question 2: Does GM have a certain driver in mind, that they would like to see attempt a fast lap at Nurburgring? Answer 2: He said they are always searching for the best driver to try and get the fastest time of course! Question 3: Does the drive have to work for GM? Answer 3: He said that they would prefer that this is usually always the case. I feel like they should differ from this but, that's just my opinion. Question 4: Will the C8 be able to go around the Nurburgring as fast as the C7 ZR1? Answer 4: He said and I quote, "the Nurburgring is horsepower to weight game". As you heard in the video, I truly believe that this was his way of saying that the C8 has already beaten the ZR1 time at the Nurburgring! Question 5: Is my 2015 C7 Corvette Z06 mad ride as good as the new C8 mad ride? Answer 5: He said, no, the C8 is way beyond the current mag ride! This is explained in way more detail, but I can't really explain to you what it is that he's saying. In a nutshell, he says that the technology in the new 4.0 mag ride is much more advanced though!
