Abandoned Funeral Home With Everything Left Behind

This funeral home was founded nearly 50 years ago by two individuals: one a local mortician and the other a retired factory worker. The duo dedicated themselves to their new funeral business venture, with the former factory worker embracing his new role as a licensed embalmer. The funeral business quickly attained great success and earned a reputation for excellence within the small southern community. In the 1990s, after over nearly two decades of partnership, the well-respected mortician unexpectedly passed away at the age of 60, leaving the funeral home to his business partner. For the next thirty years, he upheld the long-standing tradition initiated through the original partnership by continuing to provide compassionate and dignified services to families in their most vulnerable times. Before his unfortunate passing causing the funeral home to permanently close, quite shockingly he not only embalmed and managed the funeral services for his former partner, but also did the same for his wife of more than fifty years, two of his children, and several other relatives. Although the most recent obituary from this establishment was almost 5 years old and dated back to 2020, the funeral home remained under his ownership until he passed away a few years later. The small close quarters funeral home has been abandoned ever since and with both owners now deceased, it makes sense of why so much stuff was left behind. The main attractions to this abandoned funeral home had to have been the fully loaded embalming room, complete with a grimey outdated porcelain slab, three soiled gurneys, a plethora of makeup, foam heads, head props, needle injectors, hemostats, and bottles of skin sealant and arterial fluid. Other discoveries worth noting would be a chapel still lined with pews on each side and a smaller baby casket positioned at the front center. Inside that baby casket, sat a creepy red-faced doll that gave the place more of a foreboding atmosphere. Outside in the garage we also found a broken down limousine hearse and several gravestones scattered around the exterior facade.
