In this video we discuss 3 ways to change the column width in an excel spreadsheet, by clicking and dragging, or by formatting the column width to an exact measurement or autofitting the width to match the text width Transcript/notes Let’s say that you want to change the column width for certain columns in an excel spreadsheet, and we will use this one as an example. There are 2 main ways to do this. The first way is to click and drag. For instance, if we want to widen column A to include all of the text in all of the cells, we go up to the dividing line between column A and B, and you see the cursor change to a line with 2 outgoing arrows, we simply click and drag to the right to widen the cells in column A.
