Dodge and Burn a portrait with 16bit luminosity masks

A technique of automatically dodging and burning a portrait using 16 bit luminosity masks while being able to accurately target narrow brightness tones under visual control and preserving manual refining control over the masks. I was inspired by @StyleMyPic’s tutorial Top 5 Techniques to Create LUMINOSITY Masks in Photoshop | In-Depth Tutorial (   • Ultimate LUMINOSITY Masking Technique in P...  ) to reinforce my knowledge about luminosity masks. In fact this is an application of the #1 technique from the above mentioned tutorial for a portrait. Since I am merely a beginner this is not meant to be a tutorial but just a possible opportunity to receive critical comments and feedback from anyone.
