This video is about the new exam pattern of CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector exam. There will be three papers in CSWIP 3.1 exam, these are; (1) Theory Part 1 (Welding Inspection Theory): 80 multiple choice questions. Time allowed: 2 hours. (2) Theory Part 2 (WPS’s and welder certifications): 40 multiple choice questions. Time allowed: 1 hour 30 minutes. (3) Practical Part 1: Inspection of eight examination specimens to a code provided by the Test Centre. Time allowed: 1 hour 30 minutes. Details of theory part 1 are; 80 questions (120 minutes) 1.5 minutes/question Format of questions Leading, Drag and Drop, Add the missing word(s) Details of theory part 2 are; 40 questions (90 minutes) 2.25 minutes/question Work pack questions WPS-PQR-WPQ related Details of practical part 1 are; Inspection and reporting of test samples against an acceptance standard 24 questions (90 minutes) 3.75 minutes/question 8 segments practical Passing marks: Pass mark for all parts is 70%. Samples of following types of questions are also explained in this video; (1) Leading Multiple Choice Questions (2) Drag and drop type questions (3) Fill the blanks type questions (4) Work pack questions (5) Practical questions Retest opportunity for the unsuccessful students is also explained in this video. Period of CSWIP 3.1 certificate validity and five/ten year renewal program of CSWIP 3.1 certificate is also explained.
