Documenting my ceramics journey and slow living on the Suffolk coast. This chapter begins with flower compositions for my new 3D-printed planters and continues with plaster bats; a quiet preparation for reclaiming clay. From there, I turn to a 3D-printed template into form. The reclaiming process continues; slip poured onto plaster, water drawn out until it firms again. A small ritual that keeps the practice intact, little wasted, most transformed. The shelves fill with drying forms, structured pieces guided by templates, resting beside freeform experiments from practice. All will meet in the next firing, carrying lessons forward. This is a visual diary of beginnings: learning slowly, testing, failing, adjusting. A quiet record of making, and of being shaped by the materials and the coast around me. Thank you for being here. — In the next chapters: – Firing of the hand-built form – Freeform practice pieces – How I use 3D printing to create tools for my practice Chapters: 0:00 Intro - Ikebana 2:40 Making a Plaster Bat 4:21 From 3D-Printing to Hand-built Form - Shaping 7:29 From 3D-Printing to Hand-built Form - Assembling 12:20 Norfolk Coast Day Trip 13:30 Reclaiming Clay 14:35 Outro — Instagram @eyeofnaia @amanitalabs Website www.amanita-labs.com
