Most residents safe to return after major water leak at Md. high-rise apartment building

Most residents of a Silver Spring high-rise apartment building have been cleared to return after a major water leak initially displaced 166 units, according to Montgomery County's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS). Crews responded to Alexander House, located at 8560 Second Avenue, on Friday morning after a sprinkler pipe ruptured on the building's 17th floor, fire officials said.
