Learn how to create Boke Balls in #Lightroom Classic in this #lightroomtutorial To follow along the tutorial you can get all the raw files here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Thank you for watching my video! ► http://www.the-phlog.com ► Patreon: / phlog ► Instagram: / thephlog ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 Intro For this image, I wanted to add some cool light effect plus a few bokeh balls in the background. All of this was done in Lightroom, while I used Photoshop to create a focus stacked image (for a sharp subject). 0:50 1. Basic Adjustments I started by changing the profile to Adobe neutral for a flat image. Then, I adjusted the white balance making the shot slightly colder. I continued by dropping the exposure, raising the highlights and reducing the contrast slightly. To get a clear looking shot, I added clarity and some dehaze. For stronger colors I brought up the vibrance. 2:35 2. Masking To create the light effect I started with a linear gradient over the top left area. Here, I simply pushed the exposure. I added a radial gradient in the top left corner and further brought up the exposure. Also in this mask, I added temperature and reduced the tint to get a beautiful green-ish color in the corner. Also, I added a radial gradient over the top of the mushroom to introduce some more texture and clarity. 5:36 3. Bokeh Balls For those I created another radial gradient but adjusted the feather so I get a very clear edge. Next, I introduced exposure to make the balls visible to get some variation, I added multiple radial filters of different size and on some of the subtracted a linear gradient so it would look more natural. 8:24 4. Color Grading In the satuation panel, I raised the yellow, green, aqua and blue tones. For the split toning I used a warm color for the highlights, a green tone for the mid-tones and a cold tone for the shadows. 10:20 5. Photoshop (focus stacking) For the focus stacking I placed all photos in one photoshop file. Since they were not perfectly aligned, I let photoshop align them first (edit – align layers) then applied the focus stacking (edit – auto blend layers)
