This is a video covering the bus trip from Luang Prabang to the Northern Village of Nong Khiaw in Laos . Like all bus trips in Laos it is long and adventurous due to roads , trucks , bikes and flooding of the road . What a beautiful countryside as you travel along the Nam Ou river through mountains with low cloud , lush jungles , small rural villages . A trip which is 142 km takes approximately 4 hours , so it is not for the faint hearted but when arriving in Nong Khiaw the effort was worth it . There are no trains going to Nong Khiaw so road is used extensively by all forms of vehicle . On the trip back to Luang Prabang the toyota mini bus hit a deep hole in the road and broke a wheel axle, tough for owners to make a living . #laos #miketravels #nongkiau
