Its the first week of October and the last episode of Reedy fen 2023. Much has changed on the lake over the last few weeks due to the dramatic drop in temperatures and the fishing has slowed right up. This happens every October wherever I fish and I usually end up scratching around for a fish or two till at least the end of the month, however this month the River Cam was looking in fine fettle so I decided to call it a day for the carp fishing and get on the river for a nice fat Chub or two. Well, you've only got one life eh? It's been good to get back to filming again and I think I got less rusty as the sessions went on. Reedy fen is a farm reservoir with a good stock of carp. Around 5-6 acres, the margins have extensive reed beds with a thick layer of silk-weed growing down the margin slopes.
