This week at the stone cabin, I finally solved an important problem. Whenever it rained, water was getting inside. It wasn’t coming through the walls — it was flowing in from outside, mostly from the ground and the entrance area. It might sound like a small issue, but over time it became frustrating. Seeing water creep in after every rainfall really affects your motivation. So this week I focused completely on fixing it. I reshaped the ground, redirected the water flow, and made sure the runoff stays away from the cabin. Now the water can’t reach the inside anymore. Sitting indoors and listening to the rain without worrying about leaks feels completely different — peaceful and earned. At the same time, I also finished working on the access road. The muddy, slippery sections are now reinforced with stone, making the path much safer and easier to use. The entrance is dry, and getting to the cabin feels solid and secure. Building something in nature teaches patience. Sometimes it’s a small slope or a tiny gap that creates the biggest problems. But if you take your time and keep going, you eventually find the solution. Thank you to everyone following this journey. Each week, the stone cabin becomes a little more livable. There’s still a lot to do, but step by step, we’re getting there. #stonecabin #cabinlife #offgrid #offgridliving #cabinvlog #cabinbuild #diycabin #stonehouse #tinycabin #homesteadlife #simpleliving #selfbuilt #forestlife #rurallife #waterproofing #drainagefix #rainproof #accessroad #buildinginnature #slowliving #weeklyvlog #cabinproject
