DIY Netball Hoop

In this video I am making a Netball Hoop from scratch. Well to be honest I had the base and the pole I just bought, but the ring and the net is made from scratch. This is a request from my daughter for her 10th birthday. To make the ring without the proper tools was quite a challenge but it all worked out in the end. After Thoughts I often wish that I had all the tools in my shop that I need for every project and this is certainly a goal that I am working towards. However I also find lots of enjoyment from finding ways to do things that I don't have tools for. The process of figuring out a solution is very pleasing and I hope that I will always have these sorts of challenges. Problem solving is one of the great skills you learn as a maker and I love it.
