Walk with us in Glasgow, Scotland, around the downtown area from the Central Station to the Theatre Royal. We will begin our walk at the corner of Hope and Gordon Streets at the Glasgow Central train station and then head north on Hope Street. There will be quite a few buses as we walk away from the station and the sounds of construction will follow us most of the way on our walk. Streets we will cross: Renfield Lane, St. Vincent Lane, St. Vincent Street, West George Lane, and then West George Street (see pattern?). We will pass restaurants, shops, spaces to rent, and people with suitcases on their way to or from the train station. We will take a gander at the Pot Still Pub at West Regent Lane, then pass over Bath Lane, then Bath Street. Across the way we will see the “ghost sign” of the Watts Brothers Building and then we will pass over Sauchiehall Street and the pedestrian Renfrow Lane. To our left will be the Savoy Centre Shopping Mall and we will walk by Molly Malone’s pub. We will cross Renfrew Street and see the Royal Conservatorie of Music to our left. We will walk by quite a few theatre posters as we end our walk at Cowcaddens Road and the Theatre Royal.
