Speaker: Bruno Lowagie iText is an open source PDF library available in Java and C#. It was first released in the year 2000 and it was adopted by thousands of companies to create files in the Portable Document Format, to fill out PDF forms, to split and merge existing documents, to add watermarks and much more.In this session, we'll introduce iText 7. This new version was redesigned from the ground up and introduces new features (such as the long awaited support for Hindi), a more programmer-friendly API (introducing an improved document model and lay-out engine), and enhanced performance. We'll start with a simple "Hello World" example, and then add some more text to explore different lay-out engines. We'll cover different languages to demonstrate how we extended support for multiple languages. We'll learn how to publish the content of a simple database using a table object. We'll fill out forms automatically using data from a data base. Finally, we'll explain how to process existing PDFs by adding watermarks and merging different documents into one large PDF. Audience: Developers interested in enhancing their applications with PDF functionality Takeaways: -Attendees will gain insights about different aspects of PDF -Attendees who already know iText (Java) or iTextSharp (C#) 5 will learn what's new in iText 7
