The Schwinn Coston DX 27.5 Review is a commuter ready electric bike with upright handlebar, adjustable suspension seat post, and comfortable plus sized tires. It comes with sturdy aluminum alloy fenders, a rear rack, and integrated lights. In addition to the front and rear lights, there are two highly visible light bars built into the sides of the downtube battery pack. The bike is available in two frame sizes, two colors, and Schwinn also sells a step-thru version! Decent 7-speed drivetrain with wider 14 to 34 tooth freewheel. Durable sealed 12 magnet cadence sensor for pedal assist and a variable speed trigger throttle. Protective chainring guard and color matched chain cover keep you clean. Excellent weight distribution, cable integration, and unique saddle storage box. Lower capacity 250 watt hour battery pack and 350 watt geared hub motor. Slower 2 amp charger (but it's very light and compact). Fairly heavy overall weight considering it doesn't have a suspension fork. 0:00 Introduction, Coston DX vs. Coston CE vs. Marshall 0:46 Unique features & highlights, available in 2 sizes and 2 colors 2:24 Brief history of Schwinn Bicycles founded in 1895 in Chicago USA 3:14 Internal cables, sealed cadence sensor, trigger throttle, motor inhibitors 3:46 Total weight 61.6lbs, tubular alloy fenders, custom rear rack 4:48 Suspension seat post: long 400mm, 30.9mm diameter, preload adjust 5:13 Custom saddle with hidden storage inside, bottle cage bosses 5:44 Riser handlebar, rigid frame, WD plus sized 27.5" x 2.6" tires 6:50 Mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors, hubs, spokes, axles 7:37 Motor power cable design, slap guard, cranks, pedals 8:52 Drivetrain: 42T chainring, microSHIFT derailleur, 14-34T freewheel 9:33 Planetary geared hub motor 250 watt unbranded, trigger shifters 11:24 Adjustable kickstand, battery charging port and locking cylinder 12:20 Bike power button on battery pack, insert keys and remove battery 13:46 Charge port on the pack, battery charger, battery care tips 14:35 Reinstalling the battery pack, powering on the display panel 15:50 Activating the lights (hold the + button, cycle through 3 modes) 17:39 Activating walk mode (hold the - button), throttle limitations 18:58 Mounting and riding the bike (first person with motor view) 20:26 Upright body position, comfort feedback, suspension post view 21:09 Third person camera shots and hill climb, shifting demo 22:02 Eagles nest, stranded barge, conclusion with site tools Full review with specs and comparison tool: https://electricbikereview.com/schwin... → Become a Subscriber: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_... → Instagram: / ebikereview → Facebook: / electricbikereview → Website: https://electricbikereview.com/ → My Channel Home Page: / electricbikereview → This is the first accessory I add to any electric bike: https://amzn.to/3aX2dKD → As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. *If my video review was helpful, please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing.* Disclaimer: Due to factors beyond the control of EBR, I cannot guarantee against improper use or unauthorized modifications of this information.
