Key Gestational Age Limits: Up to 20 Weeks: Opinion of one Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) is required. 20 to 24 Weeks: Opinion of two RMPs is required. This is applicable for special categories of women, including survivors of sexual assault, minors, and those with physical disabilities. Beyond 24 Weeks: No upper gestational limit for termination in cases of substantial fetal abnormalities, diagnosed by a Medical Board. Who & Where? Performed by: A trained and Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP). An intern cannot perform an MTP.
