I actually put this short arrangement of Alfyn's theme together and had it all recorded back in November for one of my arranging classes at Berklee. It acted as a fun exercise to work with the voicings and techniques I had learned throughout the semester. The musicians I brought this to did a fantastic job with mere minutes to sightread the piece. It was great to have some friends in the room as well, and especially Ellis to deliver a soulful rendition of this fantastic saxophone melody. Shoutout to my friend Dov too for scoring one of the angles used for video here, it turned out great!
