This journey was unforgettable, as I immersed myself in the rich Islamic heritage, explored breathtaking mosques, and experienced an incredible Iftar in Malaysia. 🕌 Starting the Day in a Small Local Mosque I began my day in Kuala Lumpur, visiting a small, hidden mosque tucked inside a residential area. The mosque was inside an apartment complex, and I had trouble finding the prayer hall until a kind local brother guided me. This is what I love about Malaysia – the warmth and hospitality of the Muslim community. I prayed Zuhr Salah and asked for advice on how to give charity in Kuala Lumpur. A kind brother suggested I return for Asr prayer, but since I was heading to Putrajaya, I couldn’t make it in time. 🚗 Journey to Putrajaya – The Islamic Capital of Malaysia? After leaving Kuala Lumpur, I took a 45-minute trip to Putrajaya, and as we arrived, the Adhan for Asr prayer echoed through the city. Hearing the call to prayer in such a beautiful setting was truly a surreal Ramadan experience. Putrajaya is often overlooked, but it’s one of the most beautiful places in Malaysia, filled with stunning mosques, lakes, and impressive architecture. 🕌 Exploring Putra Mosque (The Pink Mosque) & Praying Asr Salah One of my main reasons for visiting Putrajaya was to see the famous Putra Mosque, also known as The Pink Mosque. This mosque is an icon of Malaysia and one of the most stunning Islamic landmarks I have ever seen. The intricate design, the peaceful atmosphere, and the grand prayer hall left me speechless. I prayed Asr Salah inside and reflected on how grateful I am to be experiencing Ramadan in Malaysia. 🚴‍♂️ Riding Through Putrajaya & Discovering The Iron Mosque After prayer, we decided to rent a duo bike and explore the city. Fasting while biking in the heat was tough, but the breathtaking views of the lake and mosques kept us going. We cycled towards the Iron Mosque (Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque), another magnificent Islamic landmark. Malaysia truly takes pride in its Islamic heritage, and Putrajaya feels like the Islamic capital of Southeast Asia. 🌅 Preparing for Iftar at Putra Mosque – An Unforgettable Experience As Maghrib approached, we returned to Putra Mosque for Iftar. The entire area was filled with Muslims from all backgrounds sitting together, sharing food, and waiting for the call to break their fast. Seeing this level of unity, kindness, and brotherhood in Islam was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. 🍽️ Breaking Fast & Enjoying the Best Shawarma in Kuala Lumpur After experiencing the beautiful Ramadan vibes in Putrajaya, we headed back to Kuala Lumpur to grab a delicious shawarma to officially break our fast. Malaysian food never disappoints, and the atmosphere in the city during Ramadan is just amazing!
