The visit included the Chibombo Multi-Facility Economic Zone, where battery plants, transformer factories and copper cable lines are being developed to align with the TAZARA rail corridor and ongoing energy projects. The tour set out how these investments are being planned to work together as one industrial and logistics corridor for long-term growth. The delegation has already signalled more investment interest, driven by the stable and open business environment under President Hakainde Hichilema’s agenda to expand Zambia’s economy.
