Yes, you just read the title right. I did not deliberately exaggerate when I jotted that down. I arrived in Melbourne on the 12th of June 2024. Because the layover was painfully short, I decided to maximize it by going out early in the following day (June 13, 2024). Compared to Sydney, the unusual cold bothered me a bit. I understand I cannot compare Sydney’s winter to that of Melbourne. However, it felt like I was in Seoul in the middle of January. I thought it was my body that was unwell. Later on that day, I found out on the news that on June 13, 2024, Melbourne recorded its coldest day in five years. The city dropped to a frosty 1.4°C. Nevertheless, I still had a good time in Melbourne! I visited the spots I planned to see in Melbourne, except one: Brighton Beach. I wish I would be rostered for Melbourne again in November.
